Blog EntryLET US CLEAN THE FILTH OF PHILIPPINE POLITICSMar 10, '07 4:18 PM
for everyone

Bilboards flashing faces of candidates, pocket calendars given free to everyone, Actors and actresses disappearing from TV and rushing to comelec.  TRAPOS making promises again. Alliance here, Alliance there.  Grandstanding in Senate and Congress.  Roads and streets being repaired after almost being forgotten. Dynasty now and Dynasty a little more.  These are the sick and boring cycle of Philippine politics.

Since 1986, What have we accomplished as a nation?  The garnish of corruption from the old regime that we fought still exist.  The same faces of robbers drizzled our government gaining more wealth and stagnantly doing nothing to reform our society and third world economy.  The same faces of politicians hiding in masks again and again to fool the electorate.  We're placing the same people who already had disgusting reputations and dissapointing performances in the electoral seats without reflection.    We're like a demented nation, morons in learning the reality of philippine poverty and lessons of our political history.

Recently, Philippines is fronting headlines again being tagged as 'THE MOST CORRUPT COUNTRY IN ASIA' bringing economist and businessmen's nightmare to reality.  Few people in Europe would want to invest in our country because of the bureacratic corruption which they said annoys and hinders them to see real business prospectives.  In small town and municipalities alone, you can feel the presence of bribe or 'Lagayan' in getting business and building permits.  Government infrastructures and public works biddings were anomalous.  Mayors, councilors and even SK chairman receives unchecked and unaudited amount of money monthly hiding in the so called 'Public Budget and Funds'.  The roots of corruption were so extensive that it made public office 'a stairway for gold hunters'.  Undoubtedly, few public servants and officials really has the heart  to help the poor.  Most of them were motivated by their greed for money, power and fame.

May 2007 local elections is yet here again.  The future of our nation will be decided again.  Your hands hold the real keys for the true progress we're all hoping for.  Let us open our eyes and clean our nation of TRAPOS, DYNASTIES and FILTHY OFFICIALS.  HUWAG NATIN SAYANGIN ANG ATING BOTO! HUWAG TAYONG MAGPA-GAGO!
